I Trust Numbers More Than Opinions

I am Thomas Ramos, and my guides start in a spreadsheet. Years of Destiny 2 taught me that feelings about weapons are usually wrong: the gun that feels weak often wins on paper, and the meta pick is sometimes just loud marketing. So I measure first and write second, whether the subject is recoil patterns or auction house prices.

How a Number Gets Into My Guides

Take time-to-kill. I do not quote patch notes for it. I take the weapon into a custom lobby, record TTK against standard armor values at three distances, repeat until the numbers stop moving, and only then does the figure earn a place in an article. The same discipline applies outside shooters: in WoW Forever I logged four weeks of evening auction prices before writing a single word about gold.

Every figure on this site has a method behind it, and I describe that method in the guide itself. If you cannot reproduce my result, I want you to be able to prove me wrong. Corrections with better data get published with credit.

Games on the Spreadsheet Right Now

  • WoW Forever: Auction prices, farm route yields, and the real hourly value of an evening.
  • Warzone: Season weapon tiers, UAV rotations, perk synergies, Quads management.
  • Destiny 2: Exotic drop rates, Nightfall speedrun loadouts, progression efficiency.

Why Bother With All This Math

Because gaming time is scarce and wrong advice wastes it. A bad loadout recommendation costs you ten losing matches before you realize the guide was guessing. My job is to absorb that cost during testing so you never pay it. That is the whole business model of this blog: my evenings of measurement for your evenings of play.

All measured results live on the All Posts page. Bring your own data if you disagree; I genuinely enjoy being out-measured.

Azeroth Through a Spreadsheet

Classic-style leveling is a math problem to me. Before I commit to a route I time a few dungeon runs, compare experience per hour, and write down what each profession actually costs to level. Gut feelings about a quest chain get tested against a stopwatch. Raids get the same treatment, with a note on which consumables earn their slot. When the data says my favorite plan is slower, I switch plans and say so in the guide.
